My Story

In 2013, Kate lost her husband, Nick Doan, to brain cancer after a three-year battle. He was 34. Kate was left to take care of an 8-month-old and a 5-year-old on her own. Six years later, Kate left a successful career as a Registered Nurse to pursue the gifts that had first manifested as a child. This is Kate's story.

At the age of 9, Kate was visited by her grandfather shortly after he passed. This visitation would be the first of many. The familiarity and comfort of her grandfather's visits allowed Kate to establish an early trust in what lies beyond the human plane. Kate can take on someone else's emotions while understanding why they feel this way. However, as a child, those abilities were too overwhelming and confusing. Nevertheless, her awareness of others who had passed remained consistent throughout the years.

Kate always had a passion for helping and healing those in need. This motivated her to pursue a 20-year career in the medical field. Kate faced difficult decisions during her time as a Registered Nurse. However, she made these decisions in a timely manner. These situations developed Kate's ability to use discernment and good judgment despite uncertainty. In addition, this allowed Kate to establish an understanding that we are so much more than this physical body. Kate's successful career in the medical field and the loss of her husband built the foundation for her work as a medium and intuitive mentor.

In 2010, Kate's husband was diagnosed with cancer. Kate struggled to find acceptance and a feeling of being "ok." During this time, the constant ups and downs brought about a level of uncertainty that was unfamiliar. Uncertainty highlighted a vulnerability Kate had feared her whole life. The only way to move forward was to be open to the idea that uncertainty was the only certainty, and the concept of "letting go" meant to trust. This experience couldn't be prepared for or taught. Instead, Kate broke down this experience into simpler choices, both large and small, that were manageable. This wasn't about being right or wrong but more about alternative thought processes that leaned towards helping herself and others through her abilities. Kate's sense of what mattered in life began to take on a new perspective. She spent less time and energy on the uncertainties while gaining greater focus and integrity on what is occurring in the present moment. This approach decreased much of Kate's worry and anxiety during and after her husband's illness.

Kate's husband visited her two days after his passing. This experience helped to validate Kate's ability to connect with individuals in the afterlife. During different periods of her life, the visits from her grandfather and husband solidified her sense that life continues beyond the human plane.

In 2019, Kate left her stable nursing job to seek what was developing and learning since childhood.

To date, Kate has connected with over 2,000 individuals that have crossed over from the human plane into the afterlife. She continues to hear, see, and feel the energy of those who have passed.
